“The person you will be in 5 years is based on the books you read and the people you surround yourself with today.” - Charlie Jones

I believe this and am excited to share a book that has been influential and life changing for me each month.

Think and Grow Rich

by Napoleon Hill

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is a very special book to me. My mentor, Joe L. Dudley Sr. introduced me to this book when he invited me to his mansion for an 8 hour read and discussion of this timeless piece. Every since then, I have read this book at the beginning of each year. Every time I read it ,I learn something new and believe that I have access to the steps to, “Think and Grow Rich”.

Napoleon Hill was commissioned by Andrew Carnegie to interview men and women of his time to find the secret to being successful. Now, the word rich in the title is not limited to money. It is a metaphor for anything that you want.

Over a span of 25 years, Mr Hill interviewed over 500 successful men and women. He researched and studied them and took the time to test the characteristics that successful people from all industries and walks of life exhibited. The same attributes continued to show up over and over and over again. These characteristics were collected and organized into a 13-step formula that if you follow will reveal -the secret.

Think and Grow Rich shares fascinating stories of people who just would not give up on their dreams. They may look crazy to some, but these secrets are why you have very few people living their dreams today out of the 7.5 billion on earth right now. These doers had such a burning desire to get what they wanted that they were not going to allow anything to stop them.

Are you willing to follow the steps to think and gain whatever your heart desires or are you only willing to put in the work when it’s convenient for you, or when it fits into your schedule? How bad do you really want it?

The steps are specific. The secret is in the book, but will you read and then apply it to your life?

This book changed my life by helping me to get out of my limited mindset. It helped me to think outside the box and see possibilities and to dream again.

Every time I read this book - I feel like I’m opening the chest to buried treasures. Except the treasure is right here in plain sight, you just have to want it badly enough to see it, believe it, comprehend it, then read it over and over and over again as you get it.

Are you willing to do whatever it takes to get what you want. I consider this book the bible for successful people.

TAGR has taught me to be persistent, see myself having what I want, walk in faith, and to operate like most people don’t. Those are some of the keys to help us TAGR.

This book encourages me to imagine and put pressure on my thoughts and dreams, and to never give up. I’m thankful for Napoleon Hill sharing this book with me and the world.
